Escalante Canyon and Calf Creek. I really hope I get to see goats on the way! It was so nice today to sleep in. I didn't think I would be able to but I was wrong. It was great and much needed by my poor body. Working the late shift tonight at work so I won't get home until about 10pm. But I have convinced Chad to come with me so that's cool. So this is Delicate Arch the second stop on our trip! I haven't been sleeping good the last few nights b/c of my shoulder. I've been waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning and having a hard time falling back to sleep. It seems to get stuck in one position, and then it's uncomfortable after that. YUCK, this vacation is a much needed rest n recovery for the shoulder. Today's WOD was rugged. 5 rounds of 400m run, 30 KBS at 20kl, 15 pull ups. My hands ripped off the new skin that just healed in on the last round...I was so close. Not too bad though, thank god! Shout out to the 6am boys were manhandled that 24kl bell, way to step it up guys. Extra work was TGU's. I am such a little bitch when it comes to these. I don't know why but gosh do I hate them and I whine the entire time. I need to stop that and just suck it up!! Good thing coach was there to put me in my place, I need that sometimes :)

Wednesday
So for the next week I'll be uploading photos of all of the sites I'm hitting on my road trip. Not to try and make anyone jealous or anything!! HA! This is our first hike Pike's Peak. 13 miles, 7,400 ft elevation. The 2nd most visited mountain in the world next to Japan's Mount Fuji. Thank god I am a crossfitter, this is going to be rugged!
Today's WOD was weights!! Yeah! 5 thrusters, 7 Hang power cleans, 10 SDLHP-20 AMRAP at 65lbs. Total ass kicker but I enjoyed it. I tried to rest about 30-40 sec. between every round and was able to bang out 11+ so I was happy with that. Nice work to all the 6am crew going RXD-Yeah guys. The diet has been steady with the low carb deal. I'm one week in and the weight is starting to come off. Hopefully with in the next few days I'll really be able to notice.

My sister and her boyfriend are in town so my schedule is a little off. They are cute together so let's hope it works out! It's always good to have family in town. Especially the older, yet shorter sis! Liz was super sweet and took us out on the boat yesterday. Not too many fish out there but we had a great day on the water! I can't believe they leave tomorrow already. Time just flys by so fast when you have company.
Not at a computer yesterday-WOD was Max cal on rower in 4min, max poundage on CnJ in 4 min. No rest between exercises. Stayed at 75lbs on the CnJ which I think was a smart move. Happy with the overall result. Extra was back squats. Stayed at 135lbs across the board for 5 sets of 5. Next squat day I need to push myself more and start my climb again.
Today was Cindy-5 pull ups, 10 push ups, 15 squats-13 rounds plus 5 pull, 9 push. My push ups slowed me down for sure but got all my pull ups without breaking and my squats were much faster then last time. I'm getting back to where I need to be, so that's good. Extra work was bench. Probably fatigued from Cindy as I wasn't able to hit my PR. 5 sets of 2-95, 105, 115, 125, 135 failed. It's all good.

WHOOO HOOO I am done with my workouts for the week. I honestly don't think I can take anymore! WOD today was OHS. I will say this again...Anything overhead I totally suck at. But on my OHS if I can find that small, small window where my shoulders get locked in I do alright. Worked up to 100lbs so I was super happy!! I was shooting for 95 but to get 100 was awesome. Extra work was Hang Power cleans-(my fav) 85, 85, 95, 95,95, 95 x 5 reps on each set. My elbows are getting faster and faster...Yeah! Shout out to my STRONG girl Sarah who PR'd @ 105 not 3 times but 5. Good work sis, I bow down.

Woke up totally beat up!! Yesterday's filty, football wod and a long walk with the dogs wore me the F out. My hands got pretty messy from the football wod but it was fun in my own sick way. I would much rather do the CFFB instead of the endurance running!! Today was 200m run 10 rack rows-due to the ripped hands, 20 push ups, 30 air squats, 40 sit ups-5 rounds. Another long ass WOD for this week. Enjoyed a foot bath and the sauna with Sarah this morning. Today I am at work until 9:30 p.m. tonight..Yuck! I am just praying I make it one more day and then.....rest!

WOD was Filthy Fifty this morning. SUCKY! I beat my old time but we didn't use the same weights so I've got to leave the PR :( I still struggled all the way through this one. AHHH. Went to the doctor today for some testing. I am on the border with food allergies but the dr. just says it's lactose intolerance. So that's good. I was thinking that what it was as my aunt has the same thing. So I know I must stay away from Ice Cream that seems to be the worst culprit. It's going to be hard as I love to cheat on ice cream but I need to!! This up and down with my weight is just ridiculous. It's so frustrating to be so committed to killing myself in the gym everyday and then not having the same discipline with food. I am weak in this category of life. I know I can overcome this, as I have done in the past. Mind over matter-stay focused!! I am going to be trying to go on a pretty strict simple low carb diet to try and drop some weight. I am just warning everyone know I might be a little on the cranky side :) Feel free to put me in my place if I am out of line and wish me luck!!

The Weekend
Overall a great weekend-I was able to hit the beach with 2 buddies, and grab some bonding time with the hubby on some hiking trails in Alva. It was full of ups and downs, some unneeded stress was added into the pot. I started off eating clean and then it went down hill from there. WOD today was running. 6- 400m runs for time. Staying with in 5 sec of each run. I as able to accomplish that goal but my times are a little slower then I would like!

Woke up this morning not feeling rested. Dinner got down late and there was weights this am so no IF today. Push Jerk-Heavy sets of 5-5 sets. 95, 105, 105, 105, 105. That's all I can handle on overhead lifts. They totally just crush me. Extra work was lunges 100ft, 3 times. 25lbs, 30lbs, 30lbs. I'm going to be feeling those tomorrow! Shout out to Hip Kitty for setting a new PR this am, great work girl!

So I missed yesterday's work out and decided to make it up this morning. Run 800m, 21 HPC at 65lbs, HSPU's 18. I needed like 20 books this morning on my HSPU's. I think I was only getting down like an inch, but I did them. I stayed and did some extra HPC and Jerk's at 65lbs. 10 rounds-sets of 3. I was trying to work on my racking position and it's coming along. Good progress!

So glad it's Friday y'all!! My college teammate is coming into town with her husband and baby for the weekend. I haven't seen her in almost 4 years. Can't wait to catch up. Today was Mariel's official last day with the 6am crew. So sad to see her go, she's come sooooo far in CF. She did promise to come and visit and catch a WOD here or there with us :) Good Luck M, I know you'll do great in Tampa!! WOD today was 3 min max rep of CnJ at 85lbs, 3 min rest, 3 min max rep burpees, 3 min rest, 3 min max cal on rower. For only 9 min of work it was a brutal. No extra work today so that was a great treat. Thanks Coach!

Feeling good, like the road to happiville once again. This time I hope to stay on it for a while!! WOD was 400m run 50 air squats. Felt good, really focused on doing air squats with good form. I use to just fly through them, not so much these days but it's for the better. Extra work was every min on the min for 10 min-1 pc, 3 push jerks. Stayed at 85lbs and worked on not clocking my collar bone on the cleans! Anything overhead I still struggle with but it's getting better. Shoulder stretches are in my future everyday for a while. So glad we decided to do the extra work in the morning. Thanks for rockin' it with me Sarah!

Starting to feel better today. WOD was deadlifts heavy. I haven't gotten past 205 since I started doing them do today was a test. I was up to 225 but didn't feel as solid as I have in the past. I am trying to gain 10lbs a month on my deads so I've reached that this month. Probably should've stayed at 215 but wanted to test myself a little. Shout out to Sarah for killing the 210 today...nice work girl!

8am-hamburger meat, left over veggies, cucumber, nuts-more like a lunch meal but I was in a rush this morning.
12pm-Roy's in Naples-Yummy-Salmon, veggies, edomondes, a few bites of chocolate souffle' and Ice cream-It was worth it and I didn't feel guilty :)
7pm-Kelp Noodle stir fry, nuts, small salad
Super excited this morning! I just got my Itinerary for my road trip in August. It goes a little something like this.... Pike's Peak, Arches National Park, Calf Creek, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Hopefully Coyote Butte, Grand Canyon, Fossil springs and if I am super lucky canyoneering in AZ. Are you kidding me?? This is going to be amazing.

Tuesday- 1 year!!
So today Sarah informed me it was our 1 yr. anniversary at the new Crossfit gym! I can't believe it and I'm so glad to be where I am at. WOW how fast does time go? WOD today was 15 amrap of one- 500m row, 15 KBS, 10 box jumps and 5 pull ups. It was a nice triple for me today. Enjoyed it. Extra work was snatches. These are super hard for me stayed light and did 8 sets of 2.

Thought about sleeping in this morning but decided to stick to my normal schedule! WOD was squats and deadlifts today. Sets of 5- for 5 sets. First time in a longgg time on the back squat stayed at 135lbs, deads stayed at 185. Very happy with my deads, would like more work on the squats. Lots of love to stuntman who truly lives up to his name for doing the bear today. I did give him the crazy man look when he told me he was going to attempt the bear. I tried to send a warning sign but it didn't work....Hopefully it didn't kill him too much! I give you props stuntman.

Not too much sleep or recovery. WOD was 50 d/u's, 40 wall balls, 30 lunges, 400m run, 50 KBS, run 400m, 30 lunges, 40 WBS, 50 D/u's. The D/u's killed me this morning. Haven't done those since April..the rhythm was for sure off. Need to practice!! WBS felt good and so did the swings. Worked on pull ups after class only with the 5lbs weight. I know wussy weight.... suck it!

Happy Birthday to Paul! Slept in this morning I was super tired and didn't make it to the 6am class. Sorry guys! I'm headed there tonight to catch up on the WOD...don't worry y'all!

7-10pm-Salad, avocado, tenderloin, asparagus, fennel, peppers, a few beers, a chocolate square it was a feast!
Hit the WOD with Paul at 4:30 and man did it suck! We were shooting for every min on the min to get 15 rounds came close but no go 13+ rounds. 1 Pc, 2 hang PC, 3 Jerks, 5 burpees AMRAP. I was done after that work out it seriously killed me. Celebrated Pauls birthday with a beautiful dinner master minded by Sarah. Nice work girl!
